MISSION:
National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a state Corporation established under NHIF Act No. 9 of 1998 to provide accessible, affordable, sustainable and quality social health insurance through effective and efficient utilization of resources to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

| Develop overall strategic intent for the organization and business modeling in line with relevant government policies and communicate to functional units. |

| Convene senior management forums on strategy development, implementation and review. |
iii.)
| Continuously provide feedback to functional units on performance based on monitoring and evaluation reports. |
iv.)
| Recommend improvement of the Fund’s value proposition based on value chain analysis and gap analysis reports. |

| Convene forums with functional units to align work plans with the approved Budget. |
vi.)
| Prepare and negotiate on behalf of the Board of Management of NHIF the organizational performance contract. |
vii.)
| Justify and provide evidence on behalf of the Board of Management the results of the organizational performance during the evaluation. |

| Prepare performance contracts for departmental heads. |

| Monitoring & Evaluating departmental performance. |
x.)
| Develop annual work plans, procurement plan and divisional budget as per the Strategic plan. |
xi.)
| Set targets and monitor performance of divisional staff as per work plans. |
a) The ideal candidate should posses the following skills and qualifications:

| Be in possession of a Masters degree in a relevant field. |
ii.)
| Be in possession of a Bachelors degree in a business-related field from a recognized university. |
iii.)
| Have attained a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at K.C.S.E or equivalent bridging course taken from a recognized institution. |
iv.)
| Be a Member of a relevant professional body. |
v.)
| Be proficient in computer based statistical packages. |
vi.)
| Have knowledge and understanding of National policies, goals and priorities towards Economic Recovery Strategy. |
vii.)
| Have past working experience in a similar management position in a comparable organization for a minimum period of five (5) years. |

| Analyze the Integrated Marketing Communication impact assessment reports and make necessary recommendations. |

| Liaise with Benefits & product development division to develop products for specific target market(s). |
vii.)
| Work closely with Manager responsible for Micro insurance to develop proposals for funding and facilitate support for attracting and maintaining sponsors for indigents. |
a) The ideal candidate should posses the following skills and qualifications:

| Be in possession of at least an MBA degree or any other post-graduate degree in a business related field. |
ii.)
| Be in possession of a social science or business-related degree from a recognized University. |
iii.)
| Have attained a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at K.C.S.E or equivalent bridging course taken from a recognized institution. |
iv.)
| Be in possession of membership to either Public Relations Society of Kenya or Marketing Society of Kenya. |
v.)
| Be proficient windows based computer applications. |
vi.)
| Have past working experience in a similar management position with a comparable organization for a minimum period of five (5) years. |
vii.)
| Possession of a diploma in Mass communication/Marketing/Public Relations is an added advantage. |
