USAID/Uganda is seeking for a qualified individual for the position of Administrative Assistant/Travel Representative.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Serves as Administrative Assistant/Travel Representative to Supervisory Executive Officer (EXO). Handles a variety of administrative requirements of the EXO. Makes travel arrangements for Mission personnel and temporary accommodation for official visitors and VIPs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Education Required: A university degree in secretarial studies, administration or a related field.
2. Work Experience: Four years of progressively responsible experience in the travel field or administrative work or other experience closely related to the field is required.
3. Language Requirement: Must be fluent in English language both written and oral communication.
4. Knowledge: Good understanding of office and administrative procedures. This should include general secretarial and office practices; regulations on unclassified correspondence control, handling and records management. Good knowledge of the English grammar, document formats and layout, and mail handling are needed.
5. Skills and Abilities: Must possess strong interpersonal and organization skills that are appropriate for extensive interactions with teams are beneficial. Must have a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and persistence for effectiveness. Must be familiar with computer software such as Word, Excel, Power point, etc.
