Global Communities is seeking Information Communications Technology Specialist candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The purpose of this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will focus on implementing robust activities that promote economic growth, reduce poverty, graduate transitional countries from aid to trade, promote open competitive markets, develop the private sector, and mobilize private financing sources to supplement and eventually replace development assistance.
The Information Communications Technology Specialist will provide assistance and expertise in designing and implementing ICT solutions in developing country contexts—particularly in support of e-commerce and e-government initiatives; assessing communications needs to improve knowledge sharing networking; identifying appropriate communication activities and programs to promote efficient and effective technologies; developing workshops and relevant training; and other relevant tasks such as supporting IT needs of the Task Order.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in international development, finance, economics e-commerce, e-government, or related field.
At least 2 years or more of progressively responsible work experience in business development (preferably e-commerce or e-government), or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of similar experience.
At least 5 years of experience in working relevant sector experience.
Knowledge of USAID programmatic, compliance and reporting procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of the use of ICT solutions, preferably e-commerce, e-government.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and willingness to innovate and ability to think systematically.
Strong oral and written communication skills; cross-culture sensitive a must.
Fluency in English required; second language preferred.
Familiarity with the use of ICT in reaching marginalized populations.
Demonstrated communication skills, with excellent written communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with all clients, peers, and stakeholders.
Ability to effectively manage projects and work within a cross cultural setting, negotiate diplomatically, and function well under pressure.
