Village Enterprise is looking for a Conservation Fellow. The incumbent must have interest in social entrepreneurship, international development, business development, microenterprise development, conservation, and poverty reduction in Africa.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage innovative pilot projects and as well as current special projects in a team effort with Village Enterprise staff;
- Support the organization East African staff to implement and improve the organization’s core program.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree is required with concentration in International Development, Economic Development, Environmental or Conservation Studies;
- More than 2 years of work experience in a management/leadership role is preferred;
- Experience in project design, business planning, product innovation or other entrepreneurial activities;
- Must be a very strong critical thinker able to identify potential solutions to challenges in new environments;
- Must be able to use Excel to analyze data, budgets, and financial reports;
- Fluency in English required, Swahili is not required.
