The Social Accountability and Child Protection Project Manager- South Sudan will manage the Programme Partnership Agreement (PPA2) work in Tambura. This will specifically include work in two streams, one on improved accountability between government and civil society regarding basic services through the Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) approach, and the other on Child Protection Systems Strengthening.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Liaise with the Policy Advocacy Manager on National Office Advocacy priorities.
• Develop an assessment report that will support the design of the three year PPA2 project. The assessment will include conducting a capacity assessment of government institutions to access and monitor quality services in child protection, health, and HIV/AIDS in Tambura County and Western Equatoria State.
• Oversee, manage, supervise and build the capacity of staff and partners in PPA2
• Effectively network and express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively to donors and government representatives- act as advocate for community identified needs
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Bachelor’s degree and or Master’s in Public Policy, Social Science or any other development discipline coupled with substantive years of experience is highly desirable.
• Must be familiar with the context and sensitivity of accountability programming and be able to lead a project team composed of both people able to mobilize communities and government figures around basic services issues that are important to them
• Should have a minimum of five years’ experience in community-based, as well as national level advocacy
• Preference that the candidate is conversant with the CVA approach (or other social accountability approaches) and has child protection knowledge and experience.
