We are looking for a dynamic, committed and passionate individual to assist in the monitoring and review of the Mabinti Tushike Hatamu Project. The Mabinti Tushike Hatamu!Project is a ground breaking initiative delivered in partnership with UNICEF, that will test, evaluate and share with key government, donor, and civil society stakeholders’ strategies for reducing the vulnerability of adolescent out-of-school females aged 10-19 to HIV and AIDS, pregnancy and gender-based violence. Working alongside the project team, you will coordinate the setting up of systems and tools for data collections, progress tracking, and reviews in line with the project’s strategy and Restless Development’s framework for monitoring and evaluation.
You will be an analytical and solution-focussed completer-finisher, committed to ensuring programme quality is achieved so we reach our planned outcomes. You will have a background in research, monitoring and evaluation, and a strong interest in girls rights and gender responsive programming. You will promote a culture of learning and reflection within the project, ensuring alongside the project coordinator, learning is used to improve our work on the ground.

You will be a natural leader as well as practical, solution-focussed completer-finisher, highly organised, and driven to create high quality projects and programmes. You will be a confident public speaker, and ensure that sharing and learning internally and externally takes place leading to enhanced programme quality on the ground. You will have a background in gender, with good knowledge of key development areas of the project (gender based violence, livelihoods and HIV and AIDS).

Southern Highland Programme - based in Mbeya

Working with rural-based communities throughout the regions, our programmes build the capacity of communities to respond to the challenges facing young people around our three core strategic objective areas of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRH and R), Livelihoods, and civic participation.
With significant time spent in the field, and an emphasis on ensuring effective working relationships with our stakeholders, partners, volunteers and young people that we work with, this is a key position within our programmes team, responsible for the quality delivery of programmes in the placements where we work. You will be a practical, solution-focussed individual, committed to delivering high standard programmes, ensuring that sharing and learning best practice from colleagues in the staff team filter to our programme delivery on the ground. This is a significant role in our programmes team, essential for the achievement of our new strategic direction launched in 2011. We are looking for a dynamic, committed and passionate individual to assist in the delivery and coordination of Mabinti Tushike Hatamu Project in Temeke District, Dar Es Salaam. The Mabinti Tushike Hatamu! Project is a ground breaking initiative delivered in partnership with UNICEF, that will test, evaluate and share with key government, donor, and civil society stakeholders’ strategies for reducing the vulnerability of adolescent out-of-school females aged 10-19 to HIV and AIDS, pregnancy and gender-based violence.
Working alongside the project team, you will coordinate the activities of our female Volunteer Development Professionals (VDPs) to take lead in increasing and strengthening the capacities of disadvantaged young girls aged 10 to 19 in Temeke District, Dar Es Salaam through establishing peer education, counselling and mentoring to out of school girls via Girls Groups and working with local stakeholders to foster a protective environment for girls and increase their access to development programmes and services.
