1 POST : INTERNATIONAL WATER AFFAIRS OFFICER
Job Description :
- Promote communication and cooperative relations through intensive exchange amongst the various players in transboundary water cooperation. This includes communication between national governments, basin organizations ; frequent exchange of experiences between basin organizations ; promotion of dialogue between academicians, stakeholders and policy makers
- Increase sector specific technical knowledge through information acquisition and exchange among players in the Nile Basin, experts and executive personnel in basin commissions and regional integration communities ;
- Invest in implementation of integrated water resources management plans that centre around extensive investment measures, that take into account cross border aspect ;
- Participate in development of mechanisms for resolution of conflicts and take part in activities that avert and reduce friction and crisis
Job requirements :
- Degree in Water resources Management or Hydrology
