Conflict and violence, insecurity and lack of access to essential services are some of the factors affecting humanitarian and development work in South Sudan. Christian Aid is looking for a program manager who will be responsible for the delivery of its humanitarian and development program in South Sudan.This role will be involved with managing a team with high level technical input. The role will ensure effective management and development of the programme, appropriate engagement and support with partners and communities, liaison and net working, effective fund raising and representation.
You will have substantial experience in a similar role of leading and managing large partner portfolios and projects, program/project design, development, monitoring and evaluation, budget development and control, team building, capacity building, networking, fund raising and representation both internally and externally.
You will have post graduate level education in development or the equivalent. You will have an advanced understanding of international development, as well as the humanitarian and development context in South Sudan. You are familiar with practical application of various tools and methodologies for participatory community mobilization, organization, empowerment, policy analysis and advocacy. You also have knowledge of programming governance and community based peace building initiatives.
Excellent programmatic & financial monitoring and evaluation, grant management, partner support and capacity building skills will be pivotal to the success of this role. You will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate fluency in the English language and use of standard computer software.
