INTERPOL is now looking for a qualified candidate to serve as Assistant Director within the Cybersecurity Sub-Directorate* in the INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre Directorate. Job Title: Assistant Director, Cybersecurity Reporting To:  Director, INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre Location: IGCI, Singapore** Duration: Three-year secondment Grade:  2 Deadline for applications: 31 December 2012 The key goal of the incumbent shall be to assist the Director (INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre) to address issues of cybercrime through the development and enhancement of investigation and operational support undertaken by the Organization in combating cybercrime in line with the organizational strategic direction and priorities. Primary Duties Development of Partnership on Cybersecurity Strategy • Strengthen co-operation and capacity among the law enforcement community and member countries in addressing cybercrime and cybersecurity issues. • Support INTERPOL’s engagement of the public and private sector, academia, and international partners on innovative systems and solutions to securing national public and private sector critical cyberspace and information technology infrastructures. • Evolve the networking among all stakeholders in purpose of harmonizing global effort to fight against cybercrimes. • Lead and develop public-private collaborative efforts with INTERPOL’s partners in conceptualizing and designing innovative technological solutions to enhance digital security.   Management of Initiative/Programme on Cybersecurity • Develop initiatives and capacity building programmes among member countries that aid their law enforcement community’s ability to better target and investigate cybercrime and improve cybersecurity. • Organize programmes that raise awareness, enhance co-operation, and promote information-sharing on cybercrime trends and discussions on global cybercrime strategies such as the initiation of regional working parties and training workshops. Analysis of Cybersecurity Trend • Monitor international, regional and various national developments in policies and programmes, and legal norms and instruments that relate to areas such as cybercrime, digital security and other digital identity technologies to keep INTERPOL abreast of relevant changes affecting the law enforcement community’s capacity to combat cybercrime.  • Work closely with the Cybercrime Investigative Support and Research & Innovation Sub-Directorates on further developing cybercrime investigation methodologies and techniques that support member countries’ investigations into cybercrime and to set new norms in dealing with cybercrime prevention, enforcement and forensics. Performs other related duties as required by the Director of INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre. Requirements All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements. Education • At least five years’ University education (Specialization, Masters or Doctorate) Experience • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the area in question, and where necessary proven experience in management. • Profound expertise in the area of cybersecurity in a law enforcement environment. • Experience in investigation in cybercrime and internet related crimes and the handling and management of computer and digital forensics.  • Knowledge of cyberspace related technology and cybercrime investigation techniques and developments.  • Extensive knowledge of current computer, communications and digital technologies.  • Experience in the design and management of databases and information sharing platforms. • Some experience of working in a capacity-building role. Languages • Professional fluency in English.  • Working knowledge in at least another official working language required. In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial. • Working knowledge in more languages would be considered as an additional asset Working Conditions This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment. • Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years.
