The Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College Moshi in Tanzania in partnership with Duke University-USA wishes to announce recruitment of the following posts for the Medical Education Partnership Initiative-MEPI Program at the KCMC Campus
Description:
The incumbent will be working on managing the e-Leaming system called Learning Management System (LMS) that is currently being used at the KCM College. The hired personnel will cooperatively work with the LMS specialist in managing and administering the e-Learning system and related activities.
Key Responsibilities
He/ She will interact with medical doctors (faculty) to gather course content and academic resources for the system users
He /She will provide LMS desktop support to students, faculty and staff
He/She will provide support to students who are struggling and/or experiencing difficulties on using the system
On the LMS he/she will provide support in
Creating content objects, user profiles and other academic resource linkages
Course set-up and content management
Setting up online exams
Managing school calendar activities, postings announcements to students and faculty via the system; and be available to offer assistance to faculty whenever needed
He/ She will interact with LMS specialist and the ICT team in making sure the LMS system is always running and up-to-date
He/ She will interact with the LMS specialist in understanding faculty and students needs in terms of training needs, system usage and satisfaction
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information System or directly related field OR
Bachelor's degree in education with experience of (Instructional technology) OR Master's degrees in these fields can substitute the minimum experience required
One year experience working in academic environment
Experience working with HTML
Strong working knowledge of Interne/ intranet, MS office, Adobe acrobat
Knowledge of Linux and MySQL is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer service oriented and team player
Analysis and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to respond to internal needs as well as external needs (students and faculty)
Should have organization skills i.e ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Remuneration and Terms of employment
Competitive and attractive package of salary and fringe benefits will be offered to the successful candidates.
2 year contract; probation period of 12 months
