Execute and Implement the acquisition plans and work to realistically differentiate the product family within a particular market segment:
- Identify opportunities and potential products / services in the Global Market that could be relevant to our line of Business, Develop and test new products and launch new products leading to creating new revenue streams.
- Implements agreed activities, launches and promotional campaigns as per the approved schedule
- Collects signals from the market to keep in touch with market developments, externally and internally by consulting other departments, to collect input for marketing activities and to support product development
- Maintains close relationship with customer base for awareness of their needs and perspectives
- Continually monitors and evaluates own performance against the implementation plan and targets and reports to the Head, Voice
- Managing the subscriber acquisition cost for all segments
- Acquisition related innovations, products & devices pipeline per segment.
- Plan, lead and direct all consumer acquisition initiatives in close collaboration with the sales and distribution department
- Plan, lead and direct enterprise and SME customer acquisition initiatives in close collaboration with the corporate and SME sales department
- Alternative channels customer acquisition initiatives in close collaboration with the relevant departments
- Evaluates and prioritizes requests for product changes, enhancements, etc.
Develop and maintain activity budget:
- Involved in the development of activity budget that are in conformity with the segment marketing budget, in consultation with the Marketing Manager
- Tracks expenditure against the approved budget and highlights problem areas for action
- Prepares and submits expenditure reports to the Marketing Manager
- Maintains information and documentation for the segment
- Recommending appropriate return of investment levels for new services launched and identifying preferred partners to work with
Ensure the execution of the marketing plans for the segment
- Involved in the briefing agencies, suppliers and research companies
- Follows up to ensure accurate and timely execution of briefs
- Participates in field promotional activities alongside the commercial team and agencies
- Checks for and assess the impact of marketing activities and reports to marketing manager
- Periodically visits the trade to check brand performance on the ground
Work with partners to ensure effective and efficient partner management
- Participates in the identification of suitable suppliers, in consultation with the marketing Manager, advertising agency and the procurement team
- Monitors performance and highlights shortcomings for action, and puts in place remedial action in case of non-performance
- Co-ordinates the resolution of supplier complaints/problems including payment queries
- Follows up on the generation of local purchase orders memorandum of understanding , etc and supplier payments
- Keep partners aligned with our tactical business strategy ensuring their support for the business roadmap and customer delight objectives
Work closely with other departments
- Involved in sharing brand/promotional activities etc with the commercial team and other stakeholders
- Regularly seeks information on competitor activity from the sales team to differentiate the product or product family within a specific market
- Involved in the resolution of issues and problems that will affect product's success
- Liaises with the finance department in respect to budgeting and budgetary control
Desired Skills and Experience
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
- 2-5 years working experience in sales or marketing;
- 1-3 years in a supervisory or management level
- Post graduate qualifications in business management, marketing, planning or statistics desirable
- MBA will be an distinct advantage
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
- Exposure to long-range and operational planning techniques
- Able to operate in a performance driven organization
- Culturally aware.
- Knowledge of English and/or French
- IT literacy
