SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (One Post)
13.1 Principal duties and responsibilities
• Works closely with the procurement unit in recruiting private service providers and ensuring that the relevant contract safeguard the interests of the Corporation;
• Assists employees in obtaining medical services in National Health Insurance Fund accredited hospitals and other approved hospitals when necessary;
• Organizes staff social event and gatherings prevailing within the Corporation annually;
• Coordinates with the marketing department in organizing trade fairs;
• Draws working schedule for operative staff;
• Ensures that the Corporation’s premises are kept in good attractive state;
• Ensures the transport fleet in use for distribution purposes is in good condition and safe for usage;
• Ensures all vehicles are insured throughout their service life based on the Corporation’s operational policies;
• Prepares regular reports to management on the performance of the vehicles and recommends other uses when a vehicle cannot function effectively;
• Reports to management on vehicle accidents and police reports on the nature and cause of the accident and outcome of the investigations;
• Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior; and
• Performs any other duty as might be assigned by the superior.
13.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience
Holders of a Bachelors degree in the field of Public or equivalent from a recognized Institution with at least 5 years of working experience. Must have computer knowledge.
13.3 Competence among others are:-
• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;
• Ability to supervise and direct professionals;
• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher and human resources management and stores database programs.
13.4 Remuneration
According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 6.
