Position Description:
The Aga khan health service, Tanzania is an agency of the Aga khan development network, committed to providing quality health care to patients and promoting health sciences education. With this ongoing mandate, the Aga khan hospital has embarked on a major expansion that will see the development of tertiary-level services. With this, we require the following enthusiastic and qualified candidates who are committed to patient and family-centered care.
Main Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with other colleagues in his/her specialized area and other relevant areas in order to deliver high quality, evidence-based care for the patients attending the Aga Khan Hospital. The selected candidate will also be responsible for participating in institutional initiatives by taking an active role in the hospital's academic, administrative, and quality agendas.
Academic Qualifications:
Masters in Medicine or qualification such as M.D, M.S, M.Med, Msc. Cardiology or equivalent in relevant field of specialization/super-specialization with active clinical role and ongoing academic engagement within the hospital set-up.
Experience:
At least 1-year of experience post successful completion of the residency program (including medical clearance through relevant exam).
3 years or more of relevant post Masters experience
Teaching experience in a recognized Medical College or Teaching hospital would be a definite asset.
Candidate must be committed to patient and family-centered care, and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within their relevant fields. Selected candidate will have specialist/consultant status as per the institution's scheme of service, and will participate in the training and supervision of residents, interns, and house officers in the wards and/or clinic.
