Computer System Analyst/Programmer III (National Payment System) – 1 Post
Reports to: Head of Division
Contract type: Contract for unspecified period of time
Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Job Purpose:
To develop and implement retail payment systems and provide first-line technical and user support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Providing technical support on payment systems;
b) Participating in the automation of the payment systems information systems;
c) Conducting research and advising on proposed payment systems products;
d) Conducting daily operations on the national payment systems including initialising the systems and monitoring synchronisation and performance;
e) Providing technical administration on NPS-supported systems;
f) Providing user support to internal and external customers of the National Payment System;
g) Participating in the review and enhancement of NPS-supported systems during relevant product cycles;
h) Carrying out regular testing and maintenance of NPS-supported systems and business continuity arrangements in place;
i) Communicating to users on the NPS system’s rules and regulations in aspects related to systems operations;
j) Resolving issues related to payment systems and other internal system interfaces;
k) Participating in conducting training to payment systems users;
l) Providing input for the formulation of payment systems standards, guidelines, policies and rules and regulations;
m) Providing input to facilitate the process of payment reconciliation by customers;
n) Preparing inputs for preparation of various payment systems publications;
o) Performing other related duties as may be assigned.
Education/Professional Qualifications Required:
a) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science;
b) Master’s Degree plus relevant certifications in IT will be an added advantage;
