Financial Analyst III (Financial Stability - Real Sector and Microfinance) - 1 Post
Reports to: Head of Division
Contract type: Contract for unspecified period of time
Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Job Purpose:
To analyse macro-economic and pro-poor financing performance in domestic, regional and international environment and make recommendations for appropriate policy and decision making.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Collecting, analyzing data and disseminating information on performance of financial and non financial institutions that provide financial services to the under and non-banked people;
b) Collecting and analyzing data on performance of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and preparing periodic performance reports;
c) Monitoring performance of the National Microfinance Policy and other national policies, strategies and programmes pertaining to expansion of access, usage and quality of financial services to rural and urban areas;
d) Participating in policy, legal and regulatory reviews relating to promoting pro-poor financial services;
e) Participating in financial inclusion - related initiatives and committees;
f) Collecting and analyzing real sector developments and providing inputs for various periodic reports and publications of the Bank;
g) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Division.
Education/Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:
a) Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Economics;
b) Master’s degree or CFA certification will be an added advantage;
c) At least two (2) years of relevant research experience.
