Reports to: Head of Division
Contract Type: Contract for unspecified period of time
Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Job Purpose
To design and develop web-based applications and maintain the web applications in order to ensure smooth running at all times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
k) Analysing, designing, implementing, and maintaining the Bank’s web application systems;
l) Working with IT personnel and cross-functional teams to identify and define requirements for acquiring and creating appropriate applications models or developing web-based applications;
m) Developing and testing web-based applications and making system improvements with a view to ensuring effective support for web application system interfaces;
n) Conducting assessment of web application systems performance and giving recommendations on improvement;
o) Troubleshooting reported web application systems problems and implementing appropriate solutions;
p) Planning and implementing web applications in line with the Systems Development Life Cycle methodology;
q) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Division.
Education/Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:
a) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science;
b) Skills in software programming and graphics;
c) Good interpersonal and communication skills;
d) Ability to work independently and in teams;
e) Two (2) years of relevant working experience;
f) Should be aware of international web standards and protocols;
g) Master’s Degree plus relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
