Reports to: Head of Division
Contract type: Contract for unspecified period of time
Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Job Purpose:
To analyse economic, financial markets and political performance in major investment countries and their implications to investments so as to come up with appropriate strategies for portfolio management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Monitoring developments in global financial markets and assessing their impacts on foreign reserves;
b) Participating in the review and formulation of reserve management policy;
c) Providing inputs in the review of foreign reserves benchmarks;
d) Evaluating the risk return trade-off of alternative investment based on historical analysis;
e) Reviewing current global markets conditions and the Bank’s risk tolerance level;
f) Performing foreign exchange trend analysis based on daily reserve volatilities;
g) Monitoring the Bank’s portfolio performance measurements and attributions;
h) Analyzing liquidity requirements;
i) Participating in the preparation of the Bank’s income projections from foreign operations;
j) Perform other related duties as may be assigned by Head of Division.
Education/Professional Qualifications Required:
a) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or its equivalent;
b) Master’s degree or CFA certification will be an added advantage.
