About the Company:
Sao Hill Industries is fully owned by Green Resources AS of Norway (www.greenresources.noj, which operates in Tanzania, Mozambique and Uganda. Sao Hill Industries has been active in Tanzania since the late 90's and is the primary supplier of variety of high quality treated and untreated timber products and transmission poles in the country.
Job Description:The selected candidate will;
Be responsible for technical analysis in managing preliminary and final design and construction phase services for the Company's construction projects.
Be responsible in judging whether projects are workable by assessing materials, costs and time requirements.
Assess and review the project key performance indicators to determine accurate status of project, making tactical decisions for allocating resources and assigning staff requirement, to maintain project on target.
Complies with all statutory requirements connected with implementation of project.
Manage procurement of civil engineering and other associated works/ services to ensure the Company complies with relevant procurement procedures and gets the best value for money.
Manage, direct and monitor project progress during each phase of project implementation.
Prepares reports for corrective actions if project becomes behind schedule or overspends budget, and presents to General Manager with recovery plan.
Make sure that all operations within the scope of your responsibilities are done in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Be responsible in Management and maintenance of all machines in Civil works department in co-operation with the technical team of the Company:
Qualification and experience;
A suitable candidate for this position shell possess,
A degree in Civil Engineering.
Sound mathematical and technical skills including physics.
Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and IE manage projects.
Ability to maintain an overview of entire project while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
Sound verbal and written communication skills (English Language).
Negotiating, Supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate.
