ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER I (Two posts).
14.1 Principal duties and responsibilities
• Ensures a comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date inventory of all office furniture, fittings and equipment is maintained;
• Ensures smooth provision of utilities i.e. water and electricity to Corporation offices;
• Supervises and checks performance of contracted private service providers e.g. security companies, catering services etc. to ensure that STAMICO is offered at optimal levels and standards as per contract specifications;
• Evaluates the security setup of Corporation’s premises so as to ensure that adequate security precautions prevail at all times;
• Keeps control of keys according to recommendations of security companies to ensure integrity of security of STAMICO premises and property;
• Monitors the use of the transport for optimal use and impact of Corporation activities.
• Ensures that machinery and other office equipment are properly maintained;
• Supervises the drivers and mechanics to ensure their performance impacts on customer satisfaction;
• Plans the optimal utilization of vehicles and drivers;
• Ensures that vehicles are in serviceable condition on a daily basis, with adequate fuel and in roadworthy condition;
• Establishes and manages vehicle maintenance by setting and appropriate maintenance cycle;
• Maintains and manage working logistical facilities
• Coordinates staff welfare e.g. registration of staff in pension funds, health insurance, sports and games
• Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior and
• Performs any other duties as might assigned by supervisor.
14.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience
Holders of a Bachelors degree in the field of Public Administration or equivalent from a recognized Institution, with experience of three years.
14.3 Competence among others are:-
• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;
• Ability to supervise and direct professionals;
• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher and human resources management and stores database programs.
14.4 Remuneration
According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 5.
14.5 Age Limit: All applicants must be below 45 years old at the date of application.
