MINERAL ECONOMIST I (One Post)
17.1 Principal duties and responsibilities
• Advises on share acquisition and trading;
• Identifies prospective grounds for mineral property acquisition;
• Advises on industrial mineral exploration;
• Carries out research and advises on investment;
• Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate supervisor;
• Analyses techno economic and feasibility studies; and
• Performs any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor
17.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience
Holder of B.Sc. Mineral/Mining Economics from a recognized
Institute with minimum experience of 3 years.
17.3 Competence among others are:-
• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;
• Ability to supervise and direct professionals;
• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher and database programs.
17.4 Remuneration
According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 6.
17.5 Age Limit: All applicants must be below 45 years old at the date of application.
