PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER I (One post)
18.1 Principal duties and responsibilities
• Briefs the media on the activities and services of the Corporation;
• Edits and formats the bulletins and news letter/journal of the Corporation;
• Prepare strategies and plans for promotion of the Corporation’s services;
• Ensure that the media publishes correct information about the services and activities of the Corporation;
• Coordinate Corporation’s public events;
• Coordinates the publications of the Corporation’s news letter/ Journals;
• Formulates public relations policies and plans;
• Coordinates preparation of the Agency’s Newsletter and bulletins;
• Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior; and
• Performs any other duties as might be assigned by the immediate Supervisor.
18.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience
Holders of B.A (Public Relations as a Major) or equivalent from a recognized institution plus a working experience of at least 3 in the same field.
18.3 Competence among others are:-
• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;
• Ability to supervise and direct professionals;
• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher and database programs.
18.4 Remuneration
According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 5.
18.5 Age Limit: All applicants must be below 45 years old at the date of application.
