16.1 Principal duties and responsibilities
• Prepares and applies a monitoring and evaluation system;
• Monitors implementation of feasibility reports for mining monitoring and evaluation programs and plans;
• Promote and conduct research on matters relating to minerals which will lead to increased of Government revenue;
• Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate supervisor;
• Advises on investment opportunities; and
• Performs any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor.
16.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience
Holder of M Sc. Mineral/Mining Economics from a recognized Institute with minimum experience of 3 years.
16.3 Competence among others are:-
• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;
• Ability to supervise and direct professionals;
• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher and database programs.
16.4 Remuneration
According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 5.
