Software Developer - Internship

We are looking for a talented developer who can join our young passionate team as an intern and help build innovative mobile solutions for the African market. You'll gain valuable experience working in a fast paced start up environment as well as learning about technology in Africa. 
Candidates must be familiar with software development lifecycle,  experience with testing techniques and deploying code across multiple environments. The developer will push out new features on the existing Bongo Live platform as well as work on new services.

• Read and understand API documents and learn quickly to implement
• Communicate well and document work
• Work independently and flexibly beyond job description
• Ability to develop quick prototypes
• Take ownership of projects
• Location - Dar es Salaam

Technical Requirements:
• Languages: Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, (Python is a plus)
• Database: MySQL
• Mobile Technologies: USSD, SMS, WAP, SMPP, Android SDK, Symbian
• XML, SOAP & HTTP Web services.
• Knowledge of PHP frameworks is a plus
