As Humanitarian Programme Monitoring & Evaluation Manager we will look to you to support our Programme Funding and Humanitarian Resilience and Response Teams by developing and implementing monitoring tools, designing and executing evaluation plans and building in-country expertise that will enable effective monitoring and evaluation of programme performance for large institutional projects/programmes. This will involve establishing strong relationships with key M&E experts in DFID’s Civil Society Department and engaging with donors to ensure we are recognised for leadership and innovation in this area. You will drive the development of an accountability culture, strengthen the capacity and capability of our teams as well as share learning and expertise with internal and external stakeholders to improve proposal development and programme delivery and management.
With substantial experience in designing monitoring and evaluation policies, systems, tools and processes in an international development environment you will have provided leadership, support and guidance on monitoring and evaluation across development programmes/projects. Comfortable at developing and planning monitoring and evaluation strategy you will have extensive knowledge of logical frameworks and participatory results based planning as well as the ability to coach and train others in their use. An effective project manager, you will have strong budgeting, data management and finance skills. You will also be an effective communicator who is good at prioritising, highly organised and able to work cross functionally.
