Responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve the project's supply chain operations for all commodities; this will include management oversight of procurement planning, procurement operations, supplier relationship management and development, inventory management, freight and logistics, warehouse management, quality assurance, customer service help desk, and related information systems
- Build and supervise functional teams in these critical areas of operation and serve as the senior liaison with vendors and service providers for the supply chain
- Work closely with all consortium members to ensure their support, integration, and performance, and ensure that all required reports are provided to the client and other relevant stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in health or management-related discipline required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in global supply chain operations and management in the private or public sectors; experience in the public and private sectors desired
- Minimum of seven years of experience in senior management positions
- Direct experience in the management of pharmaceutical procurement and logistics
- Experience working in developing countries and with stakeholders from the U.S. government, host-country governments, NGOs, and the private sector
- Demonstrated experience in agenda setting, coordination, and managing a large team of senior managers and technical specialists
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred
