As Humanitarian Programme Finance and Compliance Manageryou will provide organisational leadership in donor compliance by strengthening systems, supporting and building the capacity of our staff and partners as well as offering assurance that we can manage risks and implement internal controls. A source of legal and contractual advice, we will look to you to give technical support on the development of our grants and tenders strategy as well as strengthen financial management and donor compliance in accordance with international standards (such as IATI and HAP). You will also deliver frequent finance and compliance training as well as regularly monitor compliance with internal policies and donor terms and conditions across contracts. Important will be the ability to deliver ongoing financial and compliance reporting, develop internal and external networks and to ensure we lead in best practice.
With an accountancy or audit qualification/degree you will have experience of leading planning, budgeting and complex bidding processes. Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of institutional donor rules,financial control procedures and risk management covering organisations such as EC, ECHO, DFID, Comic Relief and the Big Lottery, you will have extensive financial and contract management experience as well as expertise in establishing and cultivating strong donor relationships. A talented communicator and negotiator, you will have advanced budget/audit preparation, analysis and financial reporting skills coupled with ability to translate technical financial data into informative reports.
