Rwanda has experienced major changes in its education system, and its Government now has ambitious plans to transform its quality and reach. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Education in Rwanda, VSO is supporting the development of education curriculum for pre-primary year children. To support our programme objectives, VSO is seeking to recruit 14 primary teachers with focus on Early Childhood to help improve the quality of pre-primary education teaching. - Coaching TTC methodology tutors to ensure they are capable of training student teachers on active and child-centred methods of teaching and supporting pre-service teachers in active methods and resource development;
- Ensuring EDCs are used by in-service teachers and offering training in active methods and resource development;
- Supporting the Kigali Institute of Education in the development of EDC curriculum guides for use in TTCs;
- Maintaining and reporting systematic evidence of inputs, outputs and outcomes of the programme interventions.
