Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical assistance aimed at strengthening supply chain management systems in developing countries
- Support country portfolio teams and in-country teams in the development and implementation of technical activities, ensuring their adequate contribution to capacity building results
- Responsible for the adequate deployment of capacity-building tools and frameworks and their adequate customization and ownership at the country level
- Work closely with country portfolio teams and national stakeholders to ensure that technical assistance activities are adequately effective and that deliverables are meeting quality standards
- Support the measurement and documentation of portfolio results
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in health-related discipline required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical systems, supply chain management, or pharmaceutical services
- Minimum of seven years of experience implementing international public health programs in the areas of reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and TB in developing countries
- Experience with programs supported by bilateral agencies, such as USAID, and other international agencies, such as the World Health Organization and the World Bank
- Experience in managing technical specialists
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; and proven diplomatic and public relations skills in a variety of cultural settings
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in a foreign language of USAID-supported countries desirable; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred
