IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. We are a world-wide movement of national organisations working with and for communities and individuals.
You will lead on financial management and reporting systems to support IPPF’s involvement in a global multi-year project to increase access to, and use of, high quality, affordable family planning and other health information, products and services globally. With international travel, you will ensure financial and contractual compliance with the requirements of the donor – the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
You are a qualified accountant with a solid track record managing the accounting and finance component of large donor-funded programmes. That must include setting up the accounting and finance function for a large USAID funded project, together with experience of development issues and/or project implementation and monitoring. Experience in audit and financial control systems, and strong financial analysis experience, are essential, as is previous charity experience. Experience in training others would be advantageous.
You have strong IT skills and knowledge of financial reporting systems. Fluent English, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills, is essential, as is discretion in handling confidential information. You have strong analytical skills and excellent time management. You must have a degree or equivalent standard of education. Evidence of professional development in business skills is desirable.
