The RNRA is a public institution established by the law N0 53/2010 of 25/01/2011, is located in Gasabo District (Remera Kisementi), it heads the management of promotion of natural resources which is composed of land, water, forests, mines and geology. It is entrusted with supervision, monitoring and to ensure the implementation of all issues relating to promotion and protection of natural resources.
In order to implement the PAREF Be 2 project, the Rwanda Natural Resources Authority is seeking to recruit the staff whose positions and respective terms of reference are shown in the following table:
4. TRAINING & COMMUNICATION OFFICER (1)
Tasks:
• Identify themes, formulating the content, budget and schedule the necessary training program for capacity building of actors involved in the implementation of the project;
• Contribute to the identification of expertise for the implementation of training modules for target groups and institutions and content development contracts for service delivery;
• Validate the content of modules programmed and contribute to the elaboration of training reports;
• Organize and supervise the progress of the training;
• Develop and supervise the training program, structuring, institutionalization, leadership and support to forest management committees to be established to ensure the sustainability of project outputs;
• To animate consultation frameworks \\\"joint Forestry Action\\\" at central and decentralized levels;
• Support environmental education activities;
• Oversee communication actions underpinning the MINIRENA / RNRA-DFNC;
• Capitalize the technical and methodological achievements of the project in the areas of training and communication;
• At the request of the Director of Intervention and / or Delegate to co-management, participate in any other activity relevant to the performance of the project.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor (Ao) in Communication, Social sciences, Forestry extension, Environmental education, Agriculture Extension, Rural Development;
- Having knowledge or experience in forestry and / or in training is an asset;
- Experience of at least 2 years (after obtaining the degree) in projects involved in institutional capacity building, in the transfer of skills to rural professional, organizations and adult learning; experience with the support and operation of training institutions;
- Experience in the field of environmental & forestry education is an asset;
- Good knowledge in computer especially Word, Excel and Power Point software, knowledge of editing, page layout and illustration are an asset too;
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda, French and English.
