ROLE, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager is responsible for the accurate realisation of all assigned NFIs project activities and their relative economic and financial administration, and to:
• Develop relations, confined to project activities, with competent donors and institutions; operate following guidelines from the Head of Mission; and contribute to the definition of Intersos strategies and the elaboration of new projects. • Assume responsibility for the management and economic and financial administration of the assigned project and for its entire implementation process, and to ensure the achievement of its objectives and results. • Manage human resources within the project and carry out performance appraisals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS • University degree in a relevant field such as international development, emergency relief, logistics, and/or project management; • At least 2 years of project management experience in humanitarian/development contexts (Africa preferable) implementing NFI and shelter activities; • Field experience in conflict/post-conflict contexts; • Experience in and ability to network and build beneficial professional relationships with donor and partner organizations; • Project proposal development experience (UNICEF, ECHO, CHF); • Computer literacy: MS Office; knowledge of GIS software is desirable; • Excellent oral and written communication skills; • Language: Fluent written and spoken English; • Strong networking and HR management skills; • Sensitive to cultural context.
