Background
The Workforce Development Authority (WDA) is a legally established Government Institution under law Number 03/2009 of 27/03/2009 with a mandate of promoting, facilitating, and guiding the development and upgrading of skills and competencies of the national workforce in order to enhance competitiveness and employability through strong and dynamic TVET system. WDA seeks to recruit a number of staff on permanent terms for IPRC South Huye campus. Successful candidates will be based at the campus in Huye.
The former ESO Huye Facility has recently been upgraded to an Integrated Regional Polytechnic Centre (IPRC) which will run under the supervision of WDA. The IPRC will be the premier TVET institution in the Southern province. It will be known as IPRC South. The IPRC is comprised of three constituent campuses ; a Vocational Training Centre (VTC), a Technical Secondary School (TSS) and a Polytechnic. It is with this background that WDA invites suitable candidates to apply for the following vacancies :
1. Admin Assistant to the Deputy Principal
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Public Administration, Secretarial
studies, Literature and other related fields.
At least 3years of working experience in a similar post.
Excellent communication in English and working knowledge of French.
Computer literacy - sound and current knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, email and the Internet is a must.
Excellent writing skills
2. Director Students Affairs
Bachelor’s Degree in ; Management, Social Sciences, Education and
related field.
A Master’s degree is an added advantage
3 years of related experience is required.
3. Student welfare officer
Bachelor’s Degree in ; Management, Social Sciences, Education and
related field.
2 years of related experience is required.
