Key Duties and Responsibilities: The post holder will work closely with Uganda Country Director to:
• Posting of transactions in the organization’s Quickbooks accounting system • Preparation of project financial reports as well as management reports in a timely manner • Process payments ensuring all relevant supporting documentation and authorization. • Processing staff travel imprest and subsequent accounting thereof. • Preparation of accurate monthly payroll and ensuring that PAYE and NSSF are properly deducted and returns submitted promptly • Receipting of all fund and reconciling the bank accounts on a monthly basis • Providing support to field finance and administrative staff, and work closely with them to ensure that financial information is presented in an accurate and timely manner. Administrative Duties:
• Assist in the Management of IIRR office, maintaining and developing an effective filing system electronic and paper • Ensuring that all office and personnel insurances policies are up to date, and in accordance to IIRR’s guidelines • Providing all logistical support and arrangements • Coordinating regular reporting to and from Uganda and Nairobi offices • Ensuring that IIRR Human Resource policies and procedures are available.
Minimum Requirements • A minimum of first-degree in a business related field and a minimum of CPA II or ACCA Part 2 • At least 4 years of experience in an International NGO and set up • Experience in managing donor-funded projects • Experience in administrative functions of an organization. • Working and excellent knowledge of QuickBooks.
