Key Responsibilities
• Prepares health policy analyses, recommendations, policy briefs, and assessments for client and government use. • Operationalize national policy and create linkages across line ministries • Strategically advocate with local government to implement national policies on a regional and district level. • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree or higher in social sciences, public health, public policy, political science, public administration, communication or a related field.
• 7+ years of policy/advocay experience in developing country settings • Significant experience in policy, policy analysis and policy communication. • Demonstrated strength and experience providing technical assistance, writing technical reports, and policy briefs targeted to decision makers. • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across diverse sets of stakeholders, including governmental, nongovernmental, and international actors. • Prior experience working with USG-funded programs is preferred. • Strong written and oral communication skills for high-level policy audiences. • Strong facilitation skills required. • Must be conversant in English and Swahili
