- Provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction
- Serve as key liaison with DFID, government counterparts, and local partners
- Manage and supervise the work of project personnel and subcontractors
- Ensure project assistance is technically sound and appropriate
- Create and implement a strategic, long-term programmatic vision
- Oversee project work planning, performance management, and strategic communications
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in economics or related field required
- Minimum 10 years of senior-level experience designing, implementing, and managing large health service delivery projects; experience on USAID, DFID, or other donor-funded projects preferred
- Demonstrated experience interacting with government agencies, host-county governments and counterparts, and international donor agencies
- Experience applying the Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach preferred
- Experience promoting women's entrepreneurship preferred
- Familiarity with Ethiopia's political, social, and cultural context preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in English required
