DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Dries, treats, mounts and stores specimens for the purpose of training, research and museum
Demonstrates to students, applications of field/laboratory/herbarium/ taxidermy techniques
Prepares equipment and materials for practical training
Assists Lecturers in setting, invigilating and marking practical examinations
Inspects, cleans and locates specimen displays and equipment
Keeps records of specimens and replaces old or damaged plant, cultural, mineral resources and animal specimens
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree (NTA 8) in Wildlife Management or Biodiversity Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution,
Must possess skills in herbarium, taxidermy and oesteology management and biodiversity and cultural resources identification, preservation and management
At least seven (7) years of working experience in the relevant field
Maintains accurate arrangements and records of plant and animal specimens
REMUNERATION
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary scale PGSS 12-13
