Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is seeking a Recruiting Assistant for the Human Resources department in our Washington, DC office.

Role & Responsibilities
To contribute to the profitable growth of CA-USA through:
- Providing support to the recruiting team with a primary focus on administrative tasks
- Working in partnership with Recruiters and Hiring Managers in the development of a performance management culture and the delivery of business goals
Specific Responsibilities
Department Administration
- Daily maintenance and organization of job applicants for International, Domestic, Proposal, and Contingent positions
- Open and close out positions per internal CA-USA procedures including: assigning job numbers; routing position opening paperwork; creating assignment files in the Applicant Tracking System database; and closing out existing files as opportunities are filled
- Coordinate career fair scheduling and attendance of recruiting staff; act as the main point of contact for career fair inquiries including tracking potential career fairs for possible attendance
- Submit background checks for international and domestic staff; work in close conjunction with resourcing counterparts at Crown Agents, the parent company, to carry out background checking due diligence procedures for Consultancy hires
- In accordance with donor regulations and internal CA-USA procedure, verify the 1420 Biodata form for final candidates
Recruitment & Selection
- Create, place, and maintain position advertisements on standard posting sites as well as other requested internet and print media locations
- Assist in selection of qualified candidates by screening applicant CVs sent in response to advertisements for open positions
- On an as needed basis, schedule interviews for International, Domestic and/or Contingent positions
- Conduct reference checks on final candidates utilizing standard reference checking procedures
Human Resources
- In conjunction with Associate Recruiter, coordinate new hire paperwork for candidates who have accepted an offer
- In coordination with human resources and administrative support staff, provide coverage support for front desk reception as needed
Business Development
- Under the direction of the Recruiting Manager and in coordination with recruiting team members, reformat final candidate CVs for inclusion in proposals
- In conjunction with Recruiters, backstop Recruitment's proposal efforts to maintain comprehensive and detailed records within the Applicant Tracking System
- On an as needed basis and under the direction of the assigned Recruiter, assist with the collection of required candidate information and/or documents for inclusion in proposals
Any other duties as appropriate to the position, as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Sociology, International Development, or a related field required.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual or multilingual ability is preferred.
- High level of attention to detail along with strong multi-tasking skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as with teams, gained through prior professional work history or undergraduate degree program.
- Prior work history requiring use of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or Client Relationship Management (CRM) database desired.
- Related Internship experience in a Human Resources or Recruiting department preferred, but not required.
- Interest in advancing professionally in the field of recruiting preferred.
- Prior work experience in an administrative support role helpful.
- Desire and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment providing administrative support to a team of Recruiters.
- Demonstrated interest in international affairs; study or work experience abroad desired.
- Must demonstrate personal attributes such as loyalty and integrity in addition to being resourceful and flexible, which is inherent in this position.
