INTERNATIONAL EMPLOYEES SERVICES SUPERINTENDENT
Reporting to the Organisational Effectiveness Manager we seek to appoint an International Employees Services Superintendent at our Bulyanhulu gold mining operation.
The incumbent will render a full HR service with regards to international (Expat) employees, specifically with regards to the management of medical insurance, recruitment, contract renewals and work- and resident permit renewal.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provides a full general HR service to the International Employees segment
• In consultation with relevant internal stakeholders defines and implements objectives, to enable consistent improvement in HR deliverables towards international employee conditions of employment and legislative requirements.
• Ensuring alignment and integrity with renewal date of all contracts and permit renewal dates as well as other relevant conditions of employment with legislation and company policies and procedures as well as international best practice.
• Developing appropriate HR methodologies and procedures and investigate and evaluate new methodologies and procedures to ensure continuous improvements.
• Monitoring all contract and permit expiry dates with the view to remain within the letter of the contract as well as the law.
• Developing proper action plans timeously and implements such effectively to ensure continuous objective achievement.
• Investigating, diagnosing and taking appropriate corrective action to effect compliance. Actions could result in changes in HR systems, processes, policies and procedures to achieve or enhance performance.
• Ensuring that various systems are in place and monitored in order to control and report on:
Labour statistical report
HR Reports
Contracts of employment
Work and residence permits
Medical scheme queries
Action plans
Climate survey
Applicable trend graphs
Leave administration
• Managing conflict proactively. Disciplinary and grievance actions and trends monitored, give advice and facilitate resolution of queries by making use of in depth understanding of conditions, rules and legislation.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Education Requirements:
• A relevant HR qualification (preferably a degree in HR or Industrial Psychology) is essential.
Experience Requirements:
• A minimum of 8 years relevant work experience.
• The incumbent is expected to be an acknowledged expert in all aspects of Human Resources management within an expatriate environment.
• The incumbent must be able to cope with and operate effectively under the following working conditions:
High volumes
Time restraints
Pressurised environment
Non routine
Operate within governance and legislative constraints
