Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Develop the Medium Enterprises business within SME involving Lending, Transaction Banking (Cash Management & Trade) FX/Treasury.
* Ensure business development with a view to tap good quality revenue opportunities with focus on liability, trade and fee-based products.
* Ensure product development, business development and market & competitor intelligence
* Develop and own the overall ME strategy document and keep it current at all times.
* Work on the ME/SME Budgets and Business Plans.
* Ensure portfolio gets a favorable rating from internal and external auditors
* Lead a team of Unit Heads for:
- Lending
- Transaction Banking (Cash Mgt. & Trade)
- FX/Treasury
- SEA Unit and
- Product Management & Business Development
* Grow the SME client base by proactively cross-selling products and/or services appropriate to SME Banking customers so as to maximize customer profitability.
* Develop targets and provide performance monitoring mechanism for the overall Medium Enterprises Team within SME e.g. Sales Pipeline, Employee Productivity, Actual vs. target revenues by Unit, by RM etc.
* The job holder must ensure he/she is fully aware of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to money laundering prevention and Sanctions. He/She must ensure compliance with these policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. Any suspicious transaction must immediately be reported to the supervising officer.
* To ensure control requirements of the business are adhered to in line with Group policies
* Must comply with all compliance requirements with high attention on a ) alertness to AML procedures and take the lead at all times to be alert to unusual or possibly suspicious customer activity. Job holder must report any suspicious transaction to respectively Unit MLPO via LINE MANAGER (reporting manager) or directly to the Country MLPO b) observant of reputation risk c) strict prohibited from miss-selling activities.
TWC/Lending
* Manage and grow the lending TWC portfolio (funded & Non-Funded Assets) for SME Medium Enterprises client base.
* Deliver the agreed financials (both Balance Sheet as well as P& L) through achieving consistent and predictable growth of trade and Working capital relationships in their Assets & Liabilities outstanding, Trade, Forex, remittances and other fee revenues
* Build a disciplined sales team for the delivery of revenue targets within SME Banking
* Acquire, grow and deepen SME Banking customer relationships through effective relationship management, with special focus on SME customers total business needs.
* Identify and prioritize activities to maximize revenue contribution from the high potential customers of the region
* Gather and probe customer profile before Credit Services Manager can conduct in depth credit analysis by providing high quality credit applications.
Transaction banking (Cash Mgt & Trade)
* Develop the Transaction Banking business within SME
*Develop a Cash Mt & Trade strategy for SME Banking to grow and non-borrowing customer base by proactively cross-selling Cash management & Trade products and /or services appropriate to SME Banking customers so as to maximize customer profitability
* Build a disciplined sales team for the delivery of revenue targets within SME Banking
* To develop a culture to provide quality, efficient after sales services.
*Maximize the transaction volumes of the customers by using and promoting alternate channels
i.e. E- Banking etc.
FX/Treasury
* Strengthen the Corporate FX Sales within SME Banking Unit i.e. marketing and delivery of Treasury/FX products, profitability, business growth, team management, external interface, and communications with other business units.
* Actively market the defined product offering e.g. in Spot, Forward FX and options to corporate clients and enhance the business turnover and profitability
* Develop and actively market & promote High Yield Deposits/Structured Products
*Promote cross-sell of FX products & referrals from other units within SME segment
*Conduct regular client seminars on Treasury/FX products for the target segment
* Roll-out ¿E-Channels¿ for Treasury Products for enquires and booking of deals.. Migrate existing customer base to the OLT platform.
Qualifications & Skills
* CA/MBA or relevant specializations
* At least 10 years of commercial banking experience with exposure in SME / Corporate Banking and Transaction Banking (Trade and Cash management), Lending and FX
* Managerial and Leadership experience for 5-7 years.
* Ability to develop business in a competitive market in a highly motivated manner demonstration of leadership quality
