The main function of this role is to perform an expediting role as well as a buying role. You will support the Contract Specialist with the required inputs and information to create, update and maintain contracts between the mine and suppliers. The total process of stock control including optimising and procuring as well as capturing information to generate informative reports in terms of all new and existing purchases will fall to you.
To qualify, you need a Grade 12/N3, National Diploma in Purchasing Management and at least 2 years’ supply chain experience. Good negotiating skills and knowledge of the Material Management and purchasing policies and procedures are important. A Code 08 driver’s licence is also essential. This is a 2.9.2 appointment.
For all these appointments, you will be required to pass a Medical Fitness Certificate in order to be considered and be subjected to physical testing when going for the Medical Fitness Certificate.
