Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is the Non-governmental Organization dully registered under the law of Tanzania, and it is centered in a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 46 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.
Of recently, MST has been striving to secure funds from donors for implementation of its cantered objectives. The effort by MST to secure funds from donors have somehow been positive where the donor has proposed a new and streamlined project to be carried attracting a diversified aptitude.
The positions advertised herein are subject to fund availability from the prospective donor and therefore after passing the interview, qualified candidates for the positions advertised shall be called to assume their position with MST as soon as the funds is finally donated and remitted to MST or deed of donation or remission is executed. This project will commence immediately after availability of funds is irrevocably confirmed by the donor.
We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our highly motivated team in the following roles;
PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Job purpose
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the systematic execution of all procurement procedures, and for the timely and cost effective purchasing of all equipment, supplies and services required by Marie Stopes Tanzania. The Procurement Officer ensures that all purchases adhere to Marie Stopes Iondon Partnership best-practice, MST Procurement Guidelines, follow donor-compliance guidelines, and are fit for purpose and best value for money
Key Responsibility
● Ensure that all goods and services are of acceptable quality and are purchased and delivered on time.
● Actively coordinate with all departments and centers as necessary to ensure timely procurement of equipment and services that are fit for purpose and best value for money.
● Ensure that all aspects of the procurement process to comply with Marie Stopes Tanzania/Marie Stopes Iondon and donor regulations and no procurement rejected for non-compliance by auditors
• Ensure that complete records are kept for all procurement and ensure that goods purchased are delivered to the appropriate location/person.
• Responsible for maintaining all Procurement Dept. files in a professional manner.
Minimum requirements
● A minimum Bachelor´s Degree in Procurement /Supply Chain or Management
● Fluent in English both oral and written.,
●Knowledge of USAID and other Donors´ policies and regulations
● A minimum of between 2-3 experience working within the field
• Graduate from PSPTB (Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technician Board) with CPSP(Certified Procurement and Suppliers Professional) or equivalent
