Food Inspector - Mbeya ,Dodoma ,Mwanza, Horohoro ,Kabanga ,Mtukula and DSM (Eastern Zone)

The Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority (TFDA) is an Executive Agency under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare which is responsible for the control of quality and safety of food, medicines, cosmetics and medical devices for the purpose of protecting public health.
TFDA is established under Section 4 (1) of the Tanzania Food, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Cap 219 and became operational on 1st July 2003.
The Authority seeks to recruit intelligent, competent, open-minded, result oriented with high integrity Tanzanians to fill the following attractive vacancies

Duties
To conduct inspections according to the guidelines
To prepare and submit inspection reports according to SOPs
To process applications for registration of premises, licenses, imports and exports permits of food
To supervise destruction of unfit products
To prepare status reports on license, permit, import and exports of food

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Food Sciences, Food Technology,
Environmental Health Sciences, veterinary medicine or related field from recognized institution.
