RESEARCH, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER

Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is the Non-governmental Organization dully registered under the law of Tanzania, and it is centered in a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 46 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.

Of recently, MST has been striving to secure funds from donors for implementation of its cantered objectives. The effort by MST to secure funds from donors have somehow been positive where the donor has proposed a new and streamlined project to be carried attracting a diversified aptitude.

The positions advertised herein are subject to fund availability from the prospective donor and therefore after passing the interview, qualified candidates for the positions advertised shall be called to assume their position with MST as soon as the funds is finally donated and remitted to MST or deed of donation or remission is executed. This project will commence immediately after availability of funds is irrevocably confirmed by the donor.

RESEARCH, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER

Job purpose
The Research, Monitoring and E valuation (RME) Officer   is responsible for supporting research, monitoring and evaluation activities for Marie Stopes Tanzania core business and projects and report to Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Lead. As a member of Research, M&E team, the RME Officer  will work closely with, project managers, Medical Development Team in Tanzania, Marie Stopes Iondon staffs, regional staff and other key stakeholders to ensure the attainment of MST goals and objectives though closer involvement in data collection, analysis and interpretation of various studies conducted within Marie Stopes Tanzania.

Key Responsibility
● Participate in the implementation of research activities
● Support preparation and Implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities
● Support the development and implementation of the country programmer’s Management Information System

Minimum requirements
● A degree in social sciences, health research/science, epidemiology, medical statistics or a field related to health statistics
● Demonstrate research, monitoring, evaluation and statistical expertise
● 3 years’ Experience of conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research
● Demonstrable competencies in setting up M&E systems will be an added advantage
