Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is the Non-governmental Organization dully registered under the law of Tanzania, and it is centered in a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 46 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.
Of recently, MST has been striving to secure funds from donors for implementation of its cantered objectives. The effort by MST to secure funds from donors have somehow been positive where the donor has proposed a new and streamlined project to be carried attracting a diversified aptitude.
The positions advertised herein are subject to fund availability from the prospective donor and therefore after passing the interview, qualified candidates for the positions advertised shall be called to assume their position with MST as soon as the funds is finally donated and remitted to MST or deed of donation or remission is executed. This project will commence immediately after availability of funds is irrevocably confirmed by the donor.
We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our highly motivated team in the following roles;
GENDER BASED VIOLENCE & CPAC OFFICER
Job purpose
The Gender/CPAC officer reports to a Project Manager and is responsible for the coordination of activities and technical inputs to the assigned component(s) in the project. For this position s/he is responsible with Gender and Comprehensive Post Abortion Care (CPAC) component of the project. The Gender/CPAC officer is responsible with Planning, Implementation and reporting of activities under the assigned component(s). Also s/he liaises with the Government to ensure the national approved guidelines and standards are available and utilized by the project.
Key Responsibility
● Participate in the situational analysis exercise by providing technical inputs and the available information in the country patterning the Gender and CPAC component
●.Ensure all key guidelines and standards related to Gender and CPAC are available for reference and utilization during planning and project implementation
● Visit the field for ensuring Gender and CPAC activities are implemented as per plan and as per acceptable standards.
● Facilitate to ensure staff at MST and public facilities are skilled in provision of CPAC services
● Assist the Project Manager in ensuring the spending on Gender and CPAC components are in line with the budget. This can be done through proper coding of any request and reviewing the transaction list.
Minimum requirements
● Minimum requirement - degree level in any health or social sciences field
● Attended training on cross cutting issues particular Gender
●.At least 2 years of experience in coordinating or managing Projects at skills and experience gained in the business or NGO sector
● Experience in the fields of Reproductive and Child Health particular Family Planning, post-abortion care and advocacy.
