Kigoma Finance Ltd offers credit and capital raising financial services to individuals and entrepreneurs, providing advice to the growing entrepreneurs and individual on credit controls, financial management control and capital raising restructuring. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in preferably Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any Related Field. He or She should have 3 to 5 years of experience in a leadership role as a comprehensive credit/lending manager with a financial institution. Computer Skills is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Credit Officer is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and administration of Kigoma Finance Limited's loans portfolios.
This position is also responsible for establishing internal loan controls and written policies and procedures for Board approval, and thereby ensuring the quality of the loan portfolio.
Review all credits to ensure long-term asset quality through review of credits presented for approval.
To directly and indirectly monitor the lending portfolio to ensure that lending operate in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as the Kigoma Finance Limited policies and procedures as approved by the Board of Directors.
To maintain, update and recommend changes to the institution's loan policy as it pertains, but is not limited to, under writing criteria, loan authorities, structure requirements, pricing guidelines, collections and charge-offs.
Periodically review and reevaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of established policies and procedures.
Communicate and interpret lending policies.
Review loan allowance reports and recommend adjustments to the methodology as necessary to ensure the institution has adequately reserved for the risk inherent in the institution's portfolio.
Monitoring and Reporting: Responsible for accurately reporting to the Board. To report on the asset quality of the loan portfolio, including delinquencies, nonaccruals, loan concentrations and profitability analyses.
Budgeting and Fiscal: To prepare, implement, and adhere to the credit area's annual budget.
To evaluate through Loan Review, the accuracy of risk ratings established by the institution.
Documentation: To work with the respective account officer, loan review and compliance to ensure that new and existing loans are properly documented and lien positions are appropriately perfected.
Remaining Current: To remain current with regulatory, accounting or other changes that affect lending in all aspects.
Problem Loans: To manage larger problem loans and manage and monitor workout activities.
