CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR DRAFTING SURVEYS AND MAPPING BILL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared online in Development Business (UNDB) issue number 10944 of July 3rd, 2013.

The Government of United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from International Development Association (IDA) forwards the cost of the Private Sector Competitive Project (PSCP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payment under the contract for consulting services for drafting surveys and mapping bill

The purpose of this assignment is to review the Survey and Mapping Act CAP 324 of 1957 and draft a new Land survey and mapping bill. Specifically the consultant will
Review the existing Land Survey and mapping Act CAP 324 and related Acts;
Undertake Public awareness to the public and conduct stakeholder’s workshop for awareness and gather their comments and recommendations;

Draft a new Land survey and mapping bill,

Project Management Unit under the Prime Minister's office (the implementing Entity of the PSCP) now invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest I in providing the services. Interested consultants must submit the expression of interest in English language giving clear information on the legal status of the firm, their professional capability to perform the services. Such information may include description of assignment of the similar nature and complexity carried out during the past five years, Availability of appropriate qualifications and skills among staff. Related work experience of the firm and of the available staff.
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A short list of consulting firms will be prepared on the basis of Expressions of Interest submitted. The selection method will be in accordance with procedures set out by the World Bank Guidelines; Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS).
