SUPPLIES ASSISTANT II (One post)
28.1 Principal duties and responsibilities
• Attends all routine supplies functions;
• Reports regularly stock levels for enhancing timely replacement decisions;
• Keeps and maintains stores records;
• Sorts and counts materials received and posts/records the entries in Goods Received Note and respective stores ledgers and in bin cards;
• Keeps and maintains bin cards for all items stored;
• Posts stores transactions in bin cards as appropriate;
• Loads and unloads materials;
• Addresses all supplies related parcels and packages;
• Issues materials against approved requisitions;
• Replenishes materials in bins;
• Keeps and files copies of all accountable stores documents such as Material Requisition Notes, Goods Received Notes, LPOs, Delivery Notes, Credit/Debit Notes, copies of supply contracts and invoices;
• Undertakes all stores clerical duties as may be assigned;
• Packs and dispatches issued materials and maintains dispatch records;
• Develops individual objectives /targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior; and
• Performs any other duties assigned by superior.
28.2 Professional Qualifications
Holder of at least a certificate of Secondary School education with passes in commercial subjects with a National Stores Keeping Certificate or Procurement and Supplies Management Certificate ( PSMC) from NBMM or its equivalent from a recognized Institute.
28.3 Competence among others are:-
• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;
• Ability to supervise and direct professionals;
• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher and stores database programs.
28.4 Remuneration
According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 2.
28.5 Age Limit: All applicants must be below 35 years old at the date of application.
