THE ARIEL GLASER PEDIATRIC AIDS HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE (AGPAHI), an affiliate of Elizabeth Glaser pediatric AIDS foundation (EGPAF) is a dynamic Tanzania based, Tanzanian-led organization, committed and focused on pediatric HIV/AIDS and healthcare. AGPAHI works in collaboration with Tanzania government entities through the ministry of health and social welfare and prime ministers office regional administration and local government and other stackholders/partiners to achieve elimination of pediatric HIV/AIDS. AGPAHI supports the provision of high-quality HIV services and ensures that efforts to reach the shared goal of the elimination of pediatric HIV/AIDS are well-integrated into existing regional and district health systems. AGPAHI focuses on implementing activities through innovative strategies as a response to our country’s current approach on HIV/AIDS as stated,” TANZANIA BILA UKIMWI INAWEZEKANA,” and it is from this slogan that we believe in ‘doing more, doing it better and reaching further with fewer resources’ as AGPAHI’s role in achieving an HIV free generation. s/he will provide technical support to health facilities i shinyanga region, this include planning and implimentation of HIV/AIDS programs supported by AGPAHI, training staff and visit AGPAHI sites, participate in data collection and ensure proper patient recording system.
Qualification:
1) applicants should hold a degree in statistics, health sciences public health international health or any related discipline, a background in medicine will be an added advantage
2) training and experience in monitoring and evaluation and the development of the M & E tools; preferably of HIV & AIDS interventions or a related field, or otherwise the capacity and motivation to acquire an in-depth knowledge of this field in a short time;
3) strong data management and analysis skills with experience in using Microsoft access and excel, experience with SAS, SPSS, STATA an added advantages
