Public health professionals , Burundi

Chemonics seeks experienced public health professionals for the USAID-funded Integrated Health Project in Burundi. The five-year project will assist the government of Burundi, communities, and civil society to improve the health status of assisted populations in the Kayanza, Muyinga, Kirundo, and Karusi provinces. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Specific areas of expertise include:
  • Health management information systems 
  • Quality improvement/quality assurance 
  • Gender and gender-based violence
  • Health policy 
  • Behavior change communications 
  • Community mobilization 
  • Community case management/community health worker capacity building 
  • Capacity building/organizational development 
  • HIV/AIDS 
  • Family planning and reproductive health
  • Maternal, neonatal, and child health 
  • Malaria 
  • Procurement and supply chain 
  • Finance and operations director
  • Grants manager
  • Communications specialist

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in field relevant required; advanced degree preferred 
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Prior USAID project experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Public health program implementation experience in Burundi preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • English and French language proficiency required​
