Project Manager , Tanzania Non-communicable Diseases Alliance (TANCDA)

The Tanzania Non-communicable Diseases Alliance (TANCDA) is an NGO constituted by the Tanzania Diabetes Association, Heart Foundation of Tanzania, and Tanzania Association for Respiratory Diseases and the Tanzania Cancer Association for the prime purpose of stronger advocacy for non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Currently, TANCDA is addressing four priority non¬communicable diseases (Diabetes Mellitus, Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer and Chronic Respiratory Diseases) identified by WHO including risk factors. Eventually, TANCDA will address broad long-term national and global objectives, which provide the context for the specific requirements of stronger advocacy for these chronic diseases

TANCDA is seeking to engage a Project Manager to be based in Dar es Salaam. The incumbent will work under the Hon. General Secretary, TANCDA on behalf of TANCDA Board.

Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the implementation of various project's activities
Using a participatory approach, plan the different stages and tasks involved in realizing the project and draw up project action plans including a monitoring plan.
Manage the project's financial, logistical and material resources.
Coordinate between all the project's internal and external interfaces.
Carry out monitoring, evaluation, narrative and financial reporting of the project activities.
Provide support to the project partners
Assist the youth and psycho social groups through the development and implementation of capacity building activities.
Lobby for and Mobilize technical resources to maximize the job performance at the project level.
Organize training/workshops/ or other form of empowerment as per the' project plan.
Ensure effective communication within the project's partners
Contribute towards the capitalization of experiences
Ensure quality data collection
Support data analysis and produce information on project’s outputs and outcomes and impacts
Promote project objectives at local, national, international levels and ensure efficient dissemination of information in terms of form and content.
Ensure visibility of project activities at local and national level.
Organize planned seminars and meetings.
Qualifications     
Degree(s):   -                                                                           
University degree or Advance Diploma (in Medicine, nurses, nutritionist, public health etc.)                                                         
Proven significant working experience in the field of public health           
Work          - Experience                           
Work experience in rural communities within NGOs             
A minimum of 2 years of proven experience       in running/coordinating health project
Experience of partnership with local and international organizations                          
Experience of multicultural environment
